Policies as of August 2017

We here at The Gridley Inn strive for our guests to have an enjoyable, relaxing and memorable stay. There are 5 rooms available for guests and cancellations affect us greatly. Thus, before booking a reservation, we must ask our guests to acknowledge and abide by our policies concerning your stay and/or cancellation.


Payment is due in full at the time of booking. This will include room fee, currently state (8%) and county (3%) taxes. Prices quoted are per night, double occupancy. Our Garden Room is available for a third person at a cost of $25 per night plus taxes.


14 Days or more from arrival = Full Refund
13 days or less from arrival = No Refund
No Show = No Refund

The Gridley Inn cannot accept responsibility of changes in travel plans due to personal illness or injury, family emergencies, inclement weather, etc. We highly encourage guests to purchase travel insurance from a reputable company.

Group Reservations

We welcome groups that wish to book the entire inn for an event. Please contact the inn for further details.


Check in is from 3pm to 8pm daily. Early check in can be accommodated providing your room is available. Please call ahead to confirm.

Check in after 8pm will incur a $30 fee. There will be no check in after 12am midnight and this will constitute a no show.

We ask late arriving guests to call the inn in order that we will be available to greet you upon your arrival. Should you encounter delays due to traffic or weather, we ask that you call the inn with approximate arrival time.


Check out is 11 am Monday through Saturday.
Note: On Sunday, check out time is 10:30.


Breakfast in our dining room begins at 8:30. We can accommodate an earlier breakfast. Seating will end at 9:30. Chef Madison seeks to prepare everything fresh and cooked to order for your dining pleasure. Some dishes are prepared that morning for the entire inn and keeping it warm for an extended period of time might cause it to lose its flavor and texture.

During breakfast service, our goal is to give prompt, attentive service to our guests. Our dining experience is where we encourage several parties to dine at our dining table to meet and converse among yourselves and your hosts.

Breakfasts at The Gridley Inn are homemade and bountiful. On special weekends for college activities, Maddy and I might extend an invitation (based on availability) for our guests to have an immediate family member namely their son and/or daughter come to breakfast free of charge.

This pertains to parents of students from Hobart William Smith College and the New York Chiropractic College.

Guests are welcome to invite a guest (based on availability) for breakfast at the rate of $15. We would appreciate a days notice to have enough on hand.

Children under the age of 12 can be accommodated with prior approval from the innkeepers.


No pets are allowed. The Gridley Inn is home to 4 beautiful labs who are confined to our owner’s quarters and are not allowed in the guest areas.


No smoking is permitted within the inn. Outdoor smoking areas are available in the front and rear of the inn. Please place cigarette butts in the appropriate receptacles.

Note: If management has found any cause of a guest or guests smoking in your room or any other part of the interior of the inn, a $150 cleaning fee will be charged to your card on file.

Prohibited Items

No candles, incense, bubble bath or bath oils are permitted in the rooms. Illegal substances, and firearms are strictly prohibited.
